Encouraging Healthier Choices:

Nutrition Session on Snacks and Breakfast for Parents of Kaamil Didi Primary School

Led a one hour nutrition session for parents at Kaamil Didi Primary School in Hulhumale Phase 2, focusing on healthy eating habits during early childhood and practical ways to make healthier food choices for children.

During the session, I discussed the impact of frequent consumption of highly processed foods, explained how to interpret food labels with a focus on sugar and salt content, and shared practical ideas for choosing healthier snack and breakfast options.

The session encouraged meaningful discussions with parents and provided an opportunity to address common concerns related to children's eating habits. I was grateful for the positive engagement and feedback received from both parents and the school.

This activity was initiated by Hulhumale Hospital and organised by Kaamil Didi Primary School. I had the opportunity to contribute through my role at the Health Protection Agency.
