SAARC–UNICEF Regional Meeting on Reducing Anaemia Among Women and Adolescent Girls in South Asia

Participated in the SAARC–UNICEF Regional Meeting on Reducing Anaemia in South Asia as part of the Maldives delegation. The conference brought together policymakers, technical experts, and development partners from across the region to strengthen collaborative efforts for anaemia prevention and reduction among women and adolescent girls.

Representing Maldives – Country Presentation

Represented the Maldives by presenting country actions on a multisectoral approach to anaemia reduction. The presentation highlighted national priorities, including strengthening health systems, adolescent nutrition initiatives, school health programmes, and coordinated efforts to accelerate progress.

Marketplace of Innovation

Explored innovative tools, strategies, and country experiences related to anaemia prevention and treatment across South Asia. The session provided opportunities for learning, knowledge exchange, and exposure to regional approaches and practical interventions.
